Spintronic oscillators for neuromorphic computing

A “nano-neuron” capable of recognizing audio signals has been developed by researchers in France, Japan and the US. The device, which is based on a nanoscale magnetic device known as a spintronic oscillator, mimics the behaviour of biological neurons.
